Community Gardens
These can be found in various neighborhoods of New Haven. The largest being the Edgerton Park Conservancy, which even offers greenhouse space for winter gardening.
The New Haven Ecology Project and Common Ground High School
A 20-acre farm site, located at the base of West Rock Ridge State Park in New Haven. The Ecology Project teaches many of its hands-on lessons through the management of this organic farm and the surrounding forested land. Organic Gardening Workshops, Festivals and other activities are offered regularly.
