Woodbridge is a suburban community with approximately 10,000 residents. Woodbridge Greenway Trails – The Woodbridge Greenway Trail is a 12-mile corridor that provides passive recreation, protection of natural habitats, and preservation of community character as it connects open spaces.  It is a central link in a regional greenway system which includes New Haven, Hamden, Bethany, Seymour, Ansonia, and Derby.

  Hamden is a community of neighborhoods.  Hamden is a blend of urban and suburban living.  It boasts a landscape rich in hills and walking trails and an abundance of shops and restaurants.  Hamden is located northeast of the New Haven town line and has a population of approximately 60,000.

These can be found in various neighborhoods of New Haven.  The largest being the Edgerton Park Conservancy, which even offers greenhouse space for winter gardening. 

The New Haven Ecology Project and Common Ground High School

A 20-acre farm site, located at the base of West Rock Ridge State Park in New Haven.  The Ecology Project teaches many of its hands-on lessons through the management of this organic farm and the surrounding forested land.  Organic Gardening Workshops, Festivals and other activities are offered regularly.
